After a clinic visit, families get a secure text link to their child's plain-language recap — the main takeaway, top next steps, and each specialist's instructions — followed by a few short check-ins. The care team sees only the exceptions that need attention before the next visit.
Example families below are illustrative — no real patient information is shown.
The gap
Children in developmental follow-up may see six or more specialists in a single visit, then not return for three to twelve months. Families leave with a stack of paper and little support in between. The caregivers who need the most help — facing income, transportation, or language barriers — are the ones most likely to fall through the cracks, and the care team has no low-effort way to learn about problems before the next appointment.

The text-message program
Consent is never a condition of care. Message frequency is low — about seven check-ins per family over the months between visits, plus replies to messages you send us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
Between Visits: your child's recap from today's clinic visit is ready. See it here: [secure link] — Did the plan make sense to you? Reply 1 = yes, 2 = mostly, 3 = not yet.
Between Visits check-in: how confident do you feel about your child's plan right now? Reply with a number from 1 (not at all) to 5 (very confident).

The alpha runs on synthetic data with a simulated messaging layer. The architecture is built so a pilot can add real SMS, Epic after-visit-summary ingestion, hospital single sign-on, and HIPAA-eligible hosting without re-architecting — each already has a defined seam in the codebase.
